Re-Run Monday

Ok - last Friday I had my 15 minutes of Fame...well...sort of. I was featured as a Guest Blogger on "Blog Around The World" (BATW) . Anyway, the fact that someone (other than myself) wanted to "publish" a post that I wrote on their blog was somewhat exciting. I am still having a bloggy-hangover from all of the attention.

So, to allow for my "recuperation" (involves deflation of head - a very complicated process), enjoy what I would like to call "Re-Run Monday" - free of any commercial-interruptions. And if you were one of my "viewers" last Friday and already saw this post, then go ahead and change the channel. But don't forget to tune in tomorrow for our regularly scheduled program!
______________
I Can't Believe I Did That! (well, maybe I can)

It never fails that when me & the girls go out, someone inevitably says, "I can't believe you just did that!" I have also heard things such as, "The party just isn't the same without you" and "Why doesn't this surprise me?" "Crazy" is probably the #1 thing I hear in conjunction with my name! I started to wonder, "Am I really that UN-normal???" So, I as I pondered the last few weeks, I says to myself, "self", I says "have you done anything that could perhaps merit an 'I can't believe you did that!' or an 'Oh no you di-unt ?" I then recalled the following incidents.

"Crack-Addict" - I shared this in a previous post, Mmm-Hmm! You Know Dat's Fo' Real. Big-D & I attended a soccer game and the chick in front of me was all about the crack. She was sooo "crack happy" that I had to get a pic with my camera phone. Of course she was jumping up and down, so the pic came out blurry. Then we couldn't help but laugh some more. I am not sure, but I think Big-D was a little shocked I did that! In case you missed it, here it is again:

"Send in the Clowns" - Last week at our Enrichment Night (church activity for women) we did vinyl lettering and other projects. It was way fun. Lady1 came to my table looking for masking tape. Lady2 said, "Go find Sister So-and-So, she has it." Lady1 then said, "I don't know what Sister So-and-So looks like." Lady3 pointed her in the right direction while I muttered to myself, "Just look for the lady that looks like a clown." Lady2 busted up laughing. "OOOPS! Did I say that out loud???" In all fairness, Sister So-and-So isn't ugly. It's just that she applies her make-up in a way that looks like she's always smiling.

"Big-Top Drive Thru" - Well, I must have had clowns on the brain. Desperate Housewife & I decide to make one of our traditional Late-Night Wal-Mart Runs. At about 1:00 am, Desperate Housewife, being pregnant decided it was time to eat. If the pancake house had been open, that's probably where we would have ended up. Nevertheless, McDonald's it was. I was thirsty and could use a drink anyway. So, we get to the drive-thru, and I place Desperate Housewife's order, followed by my beverage selection. Then he had to go and do it. WorkerBoy HAD to ask, "Will that be all?" I panicked! Would that be all? Perhaps I was hungry too! While I was trying to decide, I began humming the circus juggling tune into the drive-thru speaker. You know the one... and if you don't, click here:

It's not that I always go around humming into drive-thru speakers. I didn't even realize I was doing it until Desperate Housewife threw me a "look". I guess it would have been more apropos to hum the theme song from "Jeopardy", however my mind just didn't think like that. Anyway, that settled it - after performing said juggling tune, I felt obligated to order something...Chicken McNuggets it was. WorkerBoy tallies the total and instructs us to drive to the 1st window, which we do. We give our money, he gives our change. We are instructed to drive to the 2nd window to pick up our order. When we arrive at the 2nd window, there stands WorkerBoy, out of breath. He had just sprinted from the back window to the front window. "Say...You look oddly familiar," I say a bit obnoxiously. Desperate Housewife laughs, I laugh. WorkerBoy laughs and replies, "That musta been my twin brother." I debated for a second lodging a faux complaint regarding the service of "brother". But - I wasn't quite sure if WorkerBoy was up for that sort of joke, and MonsterTruck was revving his engine behind me anyway.

"The Mullet With The Mostest" - Big-D & I made an appearance at a wedding reception of an old co-worker of mine. Seeing as I didn't really know anyone there, my intention was to get in and get out. But once we spotted it, Big-D told me we had to stop and get a pic for my blog (see - he's gettin' the hang of how I roll!). The Father of the Bride had the longest, whitest mullet I'd ever seen. He was definitely sporting the Mullet with the Mostest. Notice Big-D pretending to pose so I can get the Mullet shot in the background! hahahahaha!

So this is just a sampling of the crazy things I tend to do or say - and this is actually pretty mild in comparison to most of my weeks. Perhaps I'm not that normal after all. But hey - I sure have a lot of fun in my life! So now I wanna know what have you done in the past few weeks that has you saying, "I can't believe I did that?"

This is the funniest post! I do stuff like that ALL the time. Hmmm, my lates? I started checking with the check-out lady at the grocery store, and she wasn't responding, so I kept talking, hoping to hit on something that would make her acknowledge me so I wouldn't feel like a total fool. She never looked up! So I blabbed about whatnot through her ringing up $70 worth of groceries. I don't remember exactly what was said, but you probably know how quickly what you say goes downhill in moments of desperation.

Hey I just saw a comment you left today on Neurotically Yours, that you are having an 80's day tomorrow. This thursday I am having an 80's day and if you want to link your post to it, I have a Mr Linky set up on it.

Too cool about the Blog around the World. Hope you had fun.

Either you're totally NORMAL or we're both NOt normal..whichever, I'll let you choose but I like us.

I love candid photos. my daughter would laugh at me because I'd have the photo showing on the other side of my phone so they could SEE me taking a pic of them if they looked my way. Thank goodness for my teens help so I can stay incognito and still grab great shots outon the town. ;)
