Discovery of the Bra-Pockets

So a few weeks ago, Yaya (click here) was talking about sitting through a class when a woman pulled her cell phone out of her bra! It made me think... "ooops..... I do that!"

It's true. But, let me explain...

It all started with this:

I LOVE my Champion Sports bra! It has a "double dry" design to keep my Double Dang-sized girls from getting too sweaty while I work out. Not to mention that it offers AWESOME support! And all for $42!!! I was so ecstatic to find one in my size (I got it at Kohl's).

The problem began when I started running/walking trails. My work-out jackets *do* have pockets. But, I was worried that my phone, my iPod, my Driver's License and Keys would fall out of them. So, I quickly discovered that I could tuck each of these items in my handy-dandy Champion Action Tech Double Dry Sports Bra! Luckily I have enough of "the girls" to help keep these items in place too!

I simply turn my phone on "vibrate" and tuck it into the "left pocket". This way, I can tell if someone is calling, even with my ear phones in. My keys and DL get tucked into the "right pocket, while the iPod gets turned into the "locked" position, and you guess it, snuggled right between "the girls" (TMI???)

Besides... who wants to wear one of these lovely things?

Not ME!!!

Anyway, it has become such a habit, that once when I had to run errands and didn't have a pocket, I threw my cell phone in my bra. I totally forgot about it until I was at the check-out lane, and my "left girl" started ringing. I pull the phone out, and the check-out girl throws me a "you just pulled that outta where?" look. Ya - she did.

Also, one time in band camp after spending all morning cleaning the house, I needed to call someone. I could not find my phone. I looked EVERYWHERE. I looked on the night stand behind my bed. I looked on the kitchen counters. I checked the bathroom. I dumped my purse out -- twice! Finally, I had one of the kids use the house phone to call it. I about jumped when my "left girl" went off. I totally forgot I put it in there. True story.

Some women keep their cigs or wads of cash in their bra... Me? My phone. But I will try to limit it to only when I am exercising.

My kids think I am certifiable.

Ha ha ha! That's brilliant. I will admit that I have tried to "stash" objects but its uncomfortable for me. Don't you get rubbed the wrong way?

HAHAHAHAH, that was funny! I keep stuff in there occasionally, yah. I am sitting here, reading, and laughed out loud. Explaining what's funny to Will isn't the same-- unless you have the 'left pocket', maybe it's kinda gross!? lol

I´ve been seeing our indigenous people (speak indians) do this forever!

for some reason clothing makers think women don't need pockets. i nestle my cell phone between fluffy and muffy when i don't want to carry my purse around. i just don't understand why there aren't pockets in my favorite pants.

LOL that to funny! I jump when I have my cell in my pocket couldn't imagine if I put it there! Fanny packs aren't in anymore huh. Always thought they were pretty good when you didn't want to have a purse or the hassle of it always falling off my shoulder.

LOL! I do this ALL the time! Like, at parties when guys try to take my phone, I stick it in my cleavage! And at school sometimes too when I need to text my mother! Hehe.

The only bad thing, for all you out there, if you have a slider phone, make sure the slider is pointing away from your body cuz....if your phone unslides then slides shut again...OUCH!

wait wait, not cleavage (my mom will make fun of me if I say that... "What cleavage?"

grr. Yeah, so I just stick it down my shirt. hehe.

I think the girls are glad for the company, just make sure they aren't taking pictures and sending it out to friends.

I have never tried that, but I have put my phone down the side of my pants when I don't have pockets. I will have to check out that Champion Sports bra.
Your post always leave me laughing!
have a fun weekend!

You should just invent a bra with pockets...you'll be rich :)

You had me peeing my pants!!! Doesn't it get uncomfortable in there. Like crowded?

I wear mine so tight, I don't think anything will fit.

This was TMI for mrbusdr and he refuses to commment. I think he is glad though, that I do not practice this Pocketing. Infact, there are times I don't even carry my cell phone. And then there are other times when I carry a purse or wear pants that have pockets.

Guess this is a sign of things to come. Now I am amply endowed down south but I cannot imagine tucking said cell phone in the crack that I was born with. Ewwwwww. I hope that made you Crack UP. hahahaha

Oh, yea. My granny has some girls. (My aunts family inherited my share). When my 19 year old son was 2 he just shoved his hand down my granny's shirt and pulled out her car keys. Nothing gets past him. I surely hope he has out grown that!!! He would be sent home for sure. I don't think anyone would understand his 2 year old flash back.
