Welcome to My Bra

When I leave the house, 4LeggedCreature can't stand it. She hates being alone. In an effort to comfort herself, she will find any article of clothing I have left behind and drag it around the house. Often times I come home to find her snuggled up on the sofa with said article of clothing.

I try not to leave clothes out. But I do occasionally throw my pj's over the edge of my bed, or leave my hoodie on the bench by the front door.

Once, I left one of my bras on the doorknob in the bathroom. During this time, my sofa was also positioned right in front of the big window in the living room. The dog loved hanging out on the sofa because it allowed her the perfect view of the sidewalk and street. This would ensure that no one would get left out. She barked at everyone and everything that moved.

Ok, so back to that day; the day of the "bra incident". I came home from work, pulled into my driveway, and noticed something BIG & WHITE in the middle of the window.

"What is that?" I wondered. I headed toward the front door only to realize that it was my Double-Dang sized bra hanging over the back of the sofa, right there on display for the whole world to see. To make matters worse, the local church ladies had apparently stopped by and taped the monthly calendar to my front door.

I immediately wondered if they came before or after this horrific display. And if they came after, what must they have thought? "Perhaps it's a sign she open for business." Oh boy, I could just hear it now. With my new "Welcome to my Bra" greeting, I was sure to be labeled the new town hussy. Isn't that what newly divorcees become anyway?

Well luckily, nothing was ever mentioned. Though, I did notice both the mailman and garbage collector start to smile my way a bit more!

Well if I ever decide to become a town hussy, I now know how to go about it.

If mine was hanging in the front window, I'm sure it would be mistaken for a loose string :)

Dogs I tell you. I had one that ate all my underwear. You will certainly know if they ask you where you show for double dangs. snicker, snicker.

Well hopefully it wasn't all worn out and "holy". tee hee! That'd be even MORE humiliating! j

My kids did the same thing your dog did when they were toddlers. I once had my visiting teachers over when my toddler came out with the bra around his shoulders like a scarf. I about died. It was leopard print.

That is priceless! Luckily our cats don't like us that much. :) Plus, I don't suppose my A cup would cause much of a stir. *sigh* My neighbors would just feel bad for me, I'm sure.

When my daughter was younger she was on a gymnastics and dance team. We'd spend tons of time changing clothes and costumes she got to the point where she'd strip just about anywhere and clothes would end up in the weirdest places. Well... I was over at the Target one afternoon, when the very young man ringing up my purchases had the pleasure of seeing me turn beet red when I reached into my purse to get my wallet, and pulled out said wallet plus a little bonus: a tiny pair of wadded up pink panties that were hooked right under the edge of my wallet. Of course, I knew they weren't MY panties... but the kid ringing me up didn't! Hopefully the My Little Pony printed on them gave him a clue though, although it may have been hard to recognize from his angle...

At least it wasn't an A-cup. Perhaps now the church ladies will offer to come clean your house as you so obviously don't have time to do it yourself;)

Oh Man, what a pooch!! Our dog loves leather and imitation leather. She has eaten at least 3 of my favorite shoes. One was a pair I got on my honeymoon. I am still a little peeved about it.
