A Potpourri of Blog

There's been some stuff I was gonna post about, and then either forgot or didn't get around to for whatever reason. So, here's a little of this and a little of that...a little potpourri of blog, if you will.

Our state is still like the 4th HIGHEST in fuel prices. That being said, I realize that the area in which I live is still among the highest in our state. So, while everyone else in the area was paying $1.99 for gas... Here is what I paid:
Here is what I paid to fill my gas-guzzler completely full! Much better than the $80-$84 I had been paying! I was so excited! Then, last night as I drove by I saw that it was down to $1.89...whoo-hoo!

In other news...

Despite the fact that I had a horrible Sinus infection, I had promised the kids I would take them to the Family Christmas Gift Show down at the expo center. They each had their money and were anxious to buy each other gifts. Yes. It was THIS crowded!
LittleDuckling was TIRED of "shopping" until he found himself this sweet little treat!
There were also free performances. We had a good view of "backstage" too!

This little dancer DID NOT want to go on!
They begged. They pleaded. There were hugs and tears. But in the end...
She stood there and watched her dance company perform without her. Poor little thing.
By the time we got home late Saturday night, I was tired and my sinus "cold" was upgraded to a mild "infection". Not to mention the fact that I broke out in to a case of zits! One on my forehead, one right above my lip, one on my neck (gross) and one in the middle of my back! (eww... "bacne"...double gross). Warning: The following picture may be frightening for some viewers!

Me - in all of my "sinus infection" glory. Look away! I'm Hideous!
And finally...saving the best for last...
My son's friend's mom heard how we had NEVER been to Disneyland (a shame, I know!) So, they are taking us in January! Whoo-Hoo!!! How cool are they? We are so totally psyched! So psyched, in fact that I didn't even mind sharing the above Ever-So-Scary picture of me.

Tell your son's friends mom that my 3 younger kids have been completely Disneyland deprived too!

lol. We actually had a chance a couple months ago to get free tickets in, we'd just pay gas and hotel but my stupid accident had me in so much pain that I didn't think we could do the trip. Now that it's some better? Too late, our connection can't get it for us anymore. :( WaaAAAAA! BOOOHOOOO!!!

I'm sorry about your sinus infection. Sick stinks!

And that was the REAL picture for the Christmas gift place? Looked CRAZY packed. I think I'd have been claustrophobic!

Oh my, well I hope you feel better soon for one. Second, I never thought we'd see gas under $2 again! Oh, and third, I linked to Betty's post and mentioned you :)

Okay, Emma... don't forget to point out that your son's friend's mom is not being totally altruistic in taking you and your fabulous kids to Disneyland. Your son's friend's dad works for the Disney company, so we don't actually have to pay to get in the park, and your son's friend's mom will use any excuse she can muster to go play.. "Oh, you're breathing this morning?? That's WONDERFUL, let's go to Disneyland! The oven is done preheating? Woot! Let's celebrate in Disneyland!" We are super excited about the trip as well, and your son's friend's view of the upcoming adventure? "This will be so wicked awesome... the best trip there EVER. Seriously Mom. This is so sick, it's gonna be tight." I THINK that's all good stuff! :)

I'm glad to see we aren't the only ones whose gas prices haven't dropped to what everyone else is paying. Although, I was tickled pink when it only took $20 to fill my truck up. (tiny tank)

Boy, that is crowded, but that is one sweet treat!

I wanna go to Disneyland!

I think I would have passed on the Family Christmas Gift Show. I know the feeling with the ZITS! I have never had a zit in my life and since September my chin has been covered, it is so gross! That is a great picture though, it shows the pain of a sinus infection.
Disneyland, you will have a riot! I hope you feel better soon.

Our gas prices are down to 2.11 when I filled up last it was 2.39 and I was happy because instead of 45 to 50 bucks it was 25. I fill up about every two weeks! Sorry you aren't feeling well. That is so cool that you are finally going to Disneyland!! You will love it and the kids will too!!

I wish someone would take me to Disneyland. Hubby won't go because he hates rides. Don't know how I married someone who is so obviously broken.

Disneyland, well howdy!! We are going in about two years. We do not really think about it because it is in two years.

That picture of the Christmas Expo...Whoa! I do not think I could have made this trip. My two year old walks so slow, she would have been making people mad behind us. She no longer wants the stroller so I would have told my husband a big fat NO.

Oh and the zits, you can't really tell. I can't believe I still get zits. I am 37, my face is now drying up like a prune and I am getting zits.

Hope you feel better and that you are receiving the good drugs:)
