In my last post I mentioned how I agonized and tossed and turned over the whole work and school bit, and how I finally decided I needed to put forth more faith, which in turn led me to put my two weeks' notice in at work.
Well, funny thing... Since then I've had some job offers from some competitors and my employer decided they wanted me to stay.
So - long story short, I have compromised and won't be taking nearly as many classes. On the plus side, I get to keep my benefits (something I'd have to wait at least 90 days for at a new job, or not get at all at the other 2 part time jobs), I get to work with my boss (whom I LOVE), I'm guaranteed to get the hours I need to make ends' meet, I get to stay in my office which is oh-so-conveniently only 1.51 miles from my house, AND--- they are going to pay me what I'm worth.
With the new arrangements, I will still graduate with my associates degree in May and I can still transfer to the university next Fall. The income is a blessing considering child support is never a sure thing.
Even though the decision was made "overnight", it wasn't taken lightly. Lots of prayers on the exressway to Heaven were said on my behalf last night, and I was up till 3am diagramming excel spreadsheets with all sorts of scenarios. I went to work and told my boss I had a proposal, and voila - I'm staying!
I feel happy and at peace about it all, and I know the new changes will be worth the compromise!
A - The Lord DOES work in mysterious ways.
B - Sometimes, the Lord will make a way where there is no way.
C - AFTER the Trials come the Blessings.
D - Things usually have a way of working themselves out.

Love this! Keenan got a full ride recently too!
awesome! I'm glad providence was with you.
It's about time they paid you what you're worth. I guess once they realized they were going to lose you they did what they could to keep you.
