Where Have All the Jingles Gone?

This is a Pre-cursor of this week on the blog...

As kids, we used to play "The Jingle Game" with our family or at camp, etc. Recently, when trying to explain the game to my kids, they didn't even know what a "jingle" was. It was then I realized that hardly any commercials use true jingles anymore.

I remember jingles for Tootsie Rolls, Zest Bar Soap, Kit-Kat Bars, and many others. I came across some fun vintage commercials on youtube and thought I'd share. (These are WAAAAY before my time AND my mother's time!) Sort of funny to hear how they promoted products back then. Trying to pass Kool-Aid off as "pure"... hehehe. Enjoy!

Which jingles do YOU remember?

Hmmm ... all I've got is:

"What would you do-o-o for a Klondike bar?"

Not really much of a jingle compared to these ...

LOL Those are funny!

There's a mortgage company here that's been around FOREVER. I'm drawing a blank on the whole thing at the moment, but I think everyone that's grown up around here knows it.
