He Said, She Said... Part 2

"Leaving the country?" he asked.

"No," she replied. "Why?"

"Isn't that your passport?" he inquired, nodding toward the packet of important documents on the kitchen counter.

"Oh, yeah," she acknowledged. "This is my old one. Don't look at the picture; it's awful!"

"It is?" he asked in disbelief.

"Yes!" she protested.

"Well," he argued, "I thought it was a good picture."

"Oh yeah?" she asked while moving towards him to get a better look for herself. "Why's that?"

"I don't know..." he paused, while fixating his gaze a little longer on the photograph inside the passport. "You look younger."

"Younger?" she protested. "You think I look YOUNGER there?"

"Well, yeah," he reasoned. "I mean it *is* from 13 years ago, right?"

Yes. But, Younger?" she debated again. "Hmmm...."

"Um...yes?" he replied sheepishly; feeling chastised without merit.

"Are you sure I don't look EXACTLY THE SAME???" she asked a little too pointedly.

"," he stammered. "That's what I meant."

And all was right with the world once again. The End.

Must be nice to never have to skillfully choose your comments around the opposite sex. You ladies have it good in some ways.
