Not Me Monday

Where to begin... Monday is the day wherein I get to tell you all of the things that I did NOT say or do during the past week.

Last week, I did NOT have shooting pains from my wrists down to my elbows. I have NOT been dealing with this for years and have been ignoring it, since it doesn't usually last too long and I can shake it out, so to speak. However, this time my left wrist/arm did NOT hurt so bad that I did NOT end up at the Insta Care. Mostly, I did NOT want them to just wrap it and send me home. Instead, I did NOT walk out of there with an appointment to see the orthopaedic surgeon for **2 Days Later**! I then did NOT see the Orth. Surgeon, whom did NOT first want to rule out any breaks and do some X-Rays. He did NOT say I have lovely bones! For real... his words! See for yourself!

Tee hee... you can see my honkin ring tho! LOL!

Ok, the Orth Surgeon did NOT discover that I have a Ganglion Cyst in BOTH wrists, which he believes is causing pressure in certain spots. He even drew on my wrists with marker to show me where and then he did NOT say this, "Now that I am done holding your hands, let's get you scheduled for some nerve testing." No, he did NOT say that, cuz that would have been some nerve! lol!

So, I did NOT walk outta there with an appointment for yet another specialist 2 days later. I did NOT arrive at the hospital on Friday and take about 10 minutes to check in at the main admittance desk. Then they did NOT proceed to draw me a map of which halls to take to arrive at a specific set of elevators which would then whisk me away to the 5th floor to the sleep lab, but where they also do this special nerve testing. I did NOT think I might need a GPS to help me get there. Once I arrived and checked in at THAT desk, the barely-out-of-high-school-girl told me to please have a seat. When I first sat down I did NOT hear a patient from the sleep lab in her room, and I did NOT hear the shower running and I did NOT hear her singing at the top of her lungs, "A Girl Like Me". I did NOT feel the obligation to post this discovery on Facebook. That little piece of entertainment did NOT last all of about 5 minutes...

Tick-tock, tick-tock, did NOT the clock say. I grew bored. Quickly. I did NOT start to peruse the array of magazines offered for my reading enjoyment and did NOT notice quite the variety. Check it out...

For real? "Successful Meetings"??? Seriously, dude. I could sooo NOT give like an hour long seminar on how to conduct a successful meeting. To think there is a regular publication -- wow. Some people do NOT live boring lives.
Notice, the top story on this is all about "ADVENTURE". Yeah, a doctor in scrubs? I'd say that would NOT be my kind of adventure! ;) And finally....

Oh good! Cuz if y'all remember, I was NOT just wondering how to go about living a "Trailer Life". Whew! It's all right here!

Anywho...Finally, after about 20 minutes of waiting and taking said pics of magazines a Dr.-looking-guy did NOT come out to the waiting area and did NOT ask the barely-out-of-high-school-girl desk girl, "Don't I have another patient?" Then they both did NOT look at me, as I was NOT the ONLY ONE LEFT IN THE WAITING AREA! In other words, she did NOT forget about me! I then was NOT brought back to my room, wherein I was NOT hooked up to some wires and the doctor did NOT proceed to then send shocks to my nerves. The feeling was NOT like banging my funny bone 20-or-30-or-100 times in a row. It was just NOT that fun!!! The Nerve! Shocking, I know! The results are that whatever is causing my pain is NOT doing any damage to my nerves. That is NOT the good news. The bad news is NOT that they are still trying to figure out if it is anything else besides the ganglions. (By the way, I always thought "ganglion" was a weird word. Seriously... like say it three times fast. Weird, right?)

Friday night, I did NOT go with Big-D to watch the game at Iggy's and while there I did NOT get a whole new blog-posts worth of stuff from people watching! Saturday, I did NOT spend time working on PrettyPrettyPrincess's upcoming birthday (more to come) and then because my computer was NOT being Poopy with a capital "P", Big-D then did NOT come over and fix it. Yay! Also, I did NOT tell him of my woes - that my cell phone charger broke and my phone was DEAD with a capital "D". We googled, and giggled, and then found out that new chargers are like $30!!! Bleh! Then I did NOT talk him into taking me to Wally-World cuz I needed to get me some stuff. While there, I did NOT see a funky chick with an acid-washed denim mini skirt, green lace stockings and Moon Boots! I was NOT so totally gonna snag me a pic, but the subject did not stay in position long enough. I hunted, I preyed, I attempted to follow. But she was too quick. **sigh** better luck next time.

During my mandatory Sunday Afternoon Nap, PrettyPrettyPrincess did NOT discover that the setting for "Light" microwave popcorn was different than regular microwave popcorn and did NOT scorch herself a bag. I did NOT wakey-wakey from said nap thinking the house was goin up in flames. Have you ever smelled burned popcorn? That stench lasts for days! Bleh!

Then - Finally - on Sunday, Big-D did NOT bring me over an extra cell phone charger and told me I could just HAVE it -- for FREE!!! Whoo-Hoo!!! Did I tell you all that he is my hero??? Yeah... just in case ya didn't know.

Oh - and this week, I also did NOT discover a new obsession!! I will NOT be blogging about that later!

Whew! That was a lot of stuff I did NOT do this past week! What about you??? What did you NOT do???

I had a ganglion on my wrist too, but that came off no bother a couple of years ago. I do have an impressive scar though!
Yes, I like to have my afternoon naps too! I'm a night-owl, not a morning lark!
Hope that you do NOT have a great week, and I am NOT pleased to hear you sounding a bit happier this week!

I did NOT spend the last 4+ days with a toothache. Ugh.

I had a ganglion cyst removed from my left wrist about 5-6 years ago. I think there may be one developing on my right, but it doesn't hurt.

My sister had/has?? cysts on her wrist too. :S poor Emma!

I did not basically skip church while walking around with Tristan & talking to a dad with a cutie pie little girl.

I also did not just yell at Tristan for waking Isaac up. Ugh.

I'm SHOCKED at all of your testing and amazed at the NERVE of you to get your appts so quickly when it always takes me a long time! lol

I was set up for a ganglion cyst removal once, even stopped breastfeeding my baby so I could get it done and the surgeon's secretary did NOT call me the day before to cancel it and say that we could reschedule for in another 4 months. I was not seriously PISSED I weaned my kid for nothing. Said cyst did NOT go away all on it's own a few months later. And has not returned. And sucker was BIG.

I hope yours go away before you have to have surgery but otherwise I hope the surgery fixes it and they don't come back. Cuz sometimes they do. Woops-I'm being a Debbie Downer again! LOL
peace out.

I have tried to write like this and just can't. It's like trying to speak pig latin. I've never been able to do that past a word or two. Not a talent of mine. I hate when my family speaks it because I can't figure it out that fast!! You are talented to do a whole post. I've been trying ever since you started it.
