Dear Treadmill and Running Trails

Dear Treadmill and Running Trails,

I just wanted to drop you a quick line to let you know how much I enjoyed our little reunion the other day. Thank you so much for welcoming me back with open arms, and not taking my absence personally. I can't believe I allowed so much time to pass us by without seeing each other! I guess school has kept me busier than I thought. To think I haven't seen either of you since my first day back to school last August!

I forgot how much fun we used to have until the other night! How could I have forgotten? I feel so bad for not getting back to you sooner. I know, I know... it was all me. I am the one with the busy schedule. I am glad that you two are always there for me- rain or shine. I need to do better at seeing you on a regular basis. It was starting to get so bad I almost forgot what you looked like.

I know your cousin Stationary Bike was a bit shocked to see me show up. But, I plan to get to know her a little better too. There are some areas I need improvement on, and I think she could really help out. I think to be fair to all of you with regards to my time, I will visit you Trail, on bright and sunny days, when it's a bit warmer. Treadmill, I will stop by and visit Stationary Bike for about 10 minutes before coming to see you. Hope you don't mind. It does mean that I will have to cut our visits a little shorter, but truly, I think it is best all around.

I know I won't be spending as much time with you as I was six months ago, but I will take what I can get. After all, this relationship means too much to me to simply throw away.

See you soon!

Emma

What a great attitude towards a work out. I should take a page from your book:-)

Kyle is trying to find motivators for me to workout (because just losing weight doesn't seem to be motivating enough).

I loved this post! I know just how it feels like, my routine has all gone hay-wire since I broke my ankle, but I still do my bit...when I have the time!
I am really feeling so fat just now! The only exercise that my body gets is my fingers tapping away at this computer!
