I was born 35 yrs ago today in Northern Indiana - cuz that's where my mother was and I wanted to be near her (ha ha ha). I was a honking 7 lbs 11oz and 21" long. I came into the world at 8:12 pm and I can guarantee that my parents' lives were never the same since.
I came just in time for Christmas with a full head of hair and a full-blown case of colic.
Here I am at 5 months old. I love that my mom "styled" my hair, hee hee.
Here I am at 1 year old. My grandmother was tending me while my mom was in the hospital giving birth to my younger sister!
I received this mini-upright piano for Christmas when I was 1 year old. My love of music started way back then. After banging and pounding on this until it could play no more, my mother signed me up for lessons at the age of 4. I've been playing ever since.
From L-R: my sister Ray-Ray (1 yr, 2 wks younger than me), Nay-Nay (11 mths, 2 wks Older than me), then there is ME (age 3 1/2) and in front is my brother Samsky, just barely 1 yr old there. I think my mom must have made us do a skit while visiting my Grandparents in TN. I can't figure out why else we would have paper sacks & cowboy boots.
(unless we were that easily entertained!)
Here is me in the 1st grade. Aw... see how cute I used to be???
Here I am in the 2nd grade. I LOVED having long hair. But I guess I cried too much when my mom brushed it, cuz it was never that long again until I was 20 years old.
Yumm-o!
On the beaches in Hawaii during my Freshman year of College. Whoo-hoo! Notice I still have my braces. I had those stinking things on for 6 1/2 yrs. I finally got them off on my oldest son's 2nd birthday. I was 22 at the time. yikes!
I miss giving my birthday cake flavor request to my mom. I miss wondering what my parents got me for my special day. And it's true, I do miss being/feeling youthful. But I am glad to have grown up and learn many of the things I have learned and experience many of the things I have experienced. I know that these events and circumstances are what have helped shape me into the person I am today. And I hope some of those fashions NEVER re-surface again! Tee-Hee!

Don'tcha just LOVE my "Olivia Newton John" hairdo? The "feathered" and "waved" bangs, the popped collar and the ever so funky-chunky beads! I was so rad! Like, so like Peachy-Keen!
Here I am in 10th grade. I had just gotten my BRAND NEW "Sally-Jessie-Raphael" Look-a-like glasses! Not only were they HUGE - but they were real glass so they were soooo heavy on my nose. (this was right before I got my braces)
Senior Winter Semi-Formal. Me & my foreign exchange student date Urs from Sweden.Yumm-o!

Happy Birthday!!!! YOu are not old, when you read 40 then we will talk about old. I love the many styles of Ema, I think I have all those same pictures and the flipped colar, loved that. I hope that you have a wonderful day and do all the things that one should in celebrating their 35th.
I don't care how old you get, you are still my little girl. I remember Grandma just getting a kick of how your hair shook because you were always on the go. Eating so fast that the food just flew off the plate and fork/spoon and onto the floor. You ending up with a face full of crumbs. Or when you forgot to put your feet on the floor before you got up and you fell flat on your face. The patches on your knees, the organizational skills, the motherly instinct... all those things of the past that made you the woman you are today. What a gal! Love to you and Happy Birthday, MOM
Happy Birthday! I just want you to know I'm crying right now because I miss you so much. I can't wait to see you again this summer. I'm so glad to have you as a big sister. By the way, those photos just prove that you've always been beautiful.

Happy Birthday! Welcome to the 35 Club! *high fives* I always figured I'd be a grown-up by 35... I was so, so wrong.
I love your 80's hair. Myself, I had the perm/feathered bang combo - those pictures are in a secure lockdown area, hopefully never to be seen by human eyes. :)
I´m sorry I missed your birthday! A belated wish for all the best!! I think your daughter looks just like you in first grade.
Hope you had a great day!
